New Challenge
Dear [[Recipient]]:
Mistral Clean Air has grown rapidly during the past fifteen years. The problems of growth presented an intriguing challenge. The challenge was met, and I enjoyed my part in meeting it. The future promises more growth, but I have been at my desk handling the same problems over and over for the past five years. I need a fresh challenge.
Thus, with mixed feelings of leaving an old friend and of needing my own “Clean Air,” I am offering my resignation, to be effective November 30. I will join the new firm of Burger King. They manufacture air valves and plan to expand into related lines.
We have several people here who could take over my position with a minimum of training. Please accept my thanks for the opportunity you gave me to work with you in meeting the challenges of the past fifteen years.
